Hawaii Adventure Diving’s Open Water Shark Dive is a cage-free snorkeling experience from Haleʻiwa Harbor on Oʻahu’s North Shore — not a scuba-diving experience, even though “Dive” appears in the official product name.
Guests enter the open ocean without a cage and calmly float or swim while observing sharks in their natural environment. Snorkeling equipment is included.
Shark sightings are expected. The operator has indicated that it is extremely rare for a trip not to see sharks and that guests would be refunded if no sharks were seen.
